Franco, Annie and their children moved to Byron Bay and began farming coffee in 1989. Since then Byron Bay Coffee Company has been an evolution of growing, importing, blending and roasting quality Arabica coffee beans. Franco is responsible for the technical and creative side of the business. Each blend and single origin has been meticulously crafted by him.
Director & New Business Development
Annie is the co-founder of Byron Bay Coffee Company. She planted the first coffee tree along side Franco on their farm in 1989. Since then she has been the face and driving force of the business. She started selling locally at the markets and now supplies coffee to Cafes internationally. She supports the local community, her team and truly loves quality coffee.
Toby is our General Manager. His role is to support our staff, our cafe partners and our suppliers. He has 20 years experience working in hospitality and ten years as an area manager at Aldi.
His wife owns and runs a successful cafe too giving him a great understanding of our clients needs.
Kahu is our Factory Manager. He looks after his team and makes sure you always receive your coffee on time. He runs our factory with a smile and an eclectic playlist, making BBCC a happy and fun place to work.
Roaster & Barista Trainer
Simon has been roasting for BBCC for ten years. His knowledge and experience in the coffee industry make him an integral part of our business. He works alongside Franco, cupping and creating our blends, discovering new flavour dimensions through both sourcing and roasting exceptional beans . He has many years experience as a hospitality professional making him the perfect choice to work with our cafe partners offering their barista’s support and training.
Katrina has the office running smoothly and is proof that a warm welcome goes a long way. Cool and calm, Kat has her finger on the pulse with all things coffee, especially after her morning espresso!
Digital Media Manager
Talia is head of our marketing. Daughter to Annie and Franco, she is well placed to capture the core of our branding. Talia has worked with the family business over the years as a roaster, in production and watched her parents build their business from the ground up. She is passionate about everything the coffee industry has to offer.
Operations Team Member
The lovely Kaylee, always smiling, joins our dynamic team as an all-rounder. She works both in the office and the factory.
Hailing from England, she has made Byron her home.
Assistant Factory Manager
Amanda brings an amazing energy into the business and she has an awesome sense of humour, She drinks a Mocha as she thinks she could use a little extra sweetness!
